Workday HCM Consultant – Time Tracking

We are partnering with a well-established organization currently undertaking a Workday Time Tracking implementation. They are seeking an experienced Workday Time Tracking Consultant for a contract engagement to provide subject matter expertise and hands-on configuration support throughout the project lifecycle.
This role will be responsible for the design, configuration, and deployment of Workday Time Tracking functionality, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and process optimization goals. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of Workday Time Tracking, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical and functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and optimization of the Workday Time Tracking module in alignment with organizational and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
- Support all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and defects, ensuring high levels of accuracy and user satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, process maps, and training materials, while supporting knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Identify and recommend system enhancements and process improvements that increase efficiency and leverage Workday’s latest capabilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing or supporting the Workday Time Tracking module.
- Strong understanding of time entry rules, work schedules, time calculations, and eligibility configurations within Workday.
- Experience integrating Workday Time Tracking with related modules such as Payroll and Absence Management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
- Workday certification in Time Tracking or HCM Core is preferred.
