We are partnered with a large manufacturing organization that have just gone live with Workday Financials. Having already placed the Workday HRIS Director there last year, we are now being tasked with finding their counterpart to oversee the Workday Financials suite. 

This role will focus on owning and enhancing Workday Financials, where you will be entirely responsible for all strategy, operations and road mapping. Whilst they already have most of the suite rolled out, there are still additional modules that need to be deployed. Alongside that, you will also retain ownership of everything relating to Security, Reporting & Integrations from a Workday Financials perspective.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and construct a 12-month Workday roadmap relating to Workday Financials.
  • Analyze and prioritize multiple Phase X roll outs for 2026 relating to Workday Financials
  • Build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, HR, IT, Payroll and HRIS
  • Oversee the design, optimization, and governance of Workday Financials modules to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering enhancements, integrations, and system improvements that increase efficiency and financial reporting accuracy
  • Establish and enforce best practices for Workday Financials configuration, testing, change management, and documentation to ensure long-term system stability and scalability.
  • Grow and develop a Workday Financials team to accommodate the existing suite

 

Requirements:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in Finance systems leadership, with deep expertise in Workday Financials across core modules (e.g., Financial Accounting, Supplier Accounts, Customer Accounts, Projects, Procurement).
  • Proven experience leading post-implementation optimization of Workday Financials, including roadmap development, stabilizing newly deployed functionality, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical and functional Workday teams, fostering capability growth and creating a high-performing delivery model.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes within a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting, inventory, supply chain finance, and operational reporting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Finance, IT, HR, and executive leadership to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
